Program Summary

2024, the VESI were advised that WorkSafe Victoria had issued a determination under Division 8 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017 (OHS Regs) allowing for the removal of high rupturing capacity (HRC) fuses containing asbestos which are, or are reasonably likely to be, intact. As part of the determination the VESI Network Operators were required to ensure that all workers whose roles involve tasks with HRC fuses were trained to enable them to safely identify, remove, and handle asbestos-containing HRC fuse
